Christmas Market in Gamla Stan

The Christmas market in Gamla Stan offers a unique Christmas experience in the picturesque streets of the old town. Here, you can stroll among stalls filled with traditional Christmas products, crafts, and delicacies. In addition, the theater group Mäster Olofsgården organizes a Living Advent Calendar every day from 1 December to 23 December at 18:15. At each window unveiling, theater and songs are performed at different windows or locations around Gamla Stan, creating a magical atmosphere in the district. Visitors can also follow the event digitally.

Christmas Market in Kungsträdgården

Welcome to this year’s traditional Christmas market in Kungsträdgården, Stockholm! Here, you’ll have the chance to find unique Christmas gifts ranging from handicrafts, home decor, and art to fashion, accessories, and food. The products are sold directly by students from the city’s schools who run Ung Företagsamhet (UF) companies, where they have created their own products throughout the year.

With over 400 exhibiting businesses, this is Sweden’s largest Christmas market, where young entrepreneurs showcase their passion and creativity. Don’t miss the opportunity to support local youth while finding unique Christmas gifts and enjoying the festive atmosphere in the heart of Stockholm.

The Christmas market at Hovstallet is a cozy and unique market right in the heart of Stockholm, perfect to visit during the second Advent weekend! Here, around 70 of Sweden’s most skilled artisans gather, specializing in traditional techniques like blacksmithing, woodworking, and textiles. Visitors can also enjoy guided tours of the royal carriages and meet the king’s horses in their stables. Additionally, there will be food stalls offering Christmas delicacies.

Skeppsholmsgården’s Christmas Market

Skeppsholmsgården’s Christmas Market offers a unique experience with a maritime and handicraft theme. Here, blacksmiths, jewelry makers, and other skilled artisans gather to create a festive Christmas market on Skeppsholmen. With over 50 exhibitors filling the workshops and the courtyard, there is plenty of exciting and unique handicrafts to discover.

The quay is decorated with fir branches and lit fires, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy coffee and simple meals sold both indoors and outdoors. This is a perfect Christmas market for the whole family, with a focus on tradition and craftsmanship.

Christmas Concert at Gustaf Vasa Church

Experience the annual Christmas in Vasastan concert at Gustaf Vasa Church at Odenplan, an event that even attracts royalty. The concert features tenor Martin Vanberg, the Gustaf Vasa Chamber Choir, Adolf Fredrik's Boys' Choir, and an orchestra from the Royal Court Chapel. Conductors for the evening are Lars Fredén and Anna Karin Schäfer. Additionally, there will be a traditional Christmas music performance on Boxing Day with Olof Andersson on the organ.
